Actor Headshots

If you’re looking for a striking, authentic headshot to get you noticed, then you’re in the right place. Based in Epsom, Surrey, I create professional headshots in my relaxed home-studio or, for multiple headshots in an educational setting, I can bring the studio to you (space allowing).

This page contains details about the experience, prices, a contact form and FAQs and if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to get in touch.
“Paula is fantastic to work with! She planned my shoot really carefully and when the day came, it was great fun. Paula got the brief perfectly and I am delighted with my headshots”

“Paula is super-friendly and patient and went the extra mile to get exactly what I was after”

The Experience

The session itself is really relaxed and we focus on getting a good selection of authentic shots for you to choose from. My style is to chat away with you during the session (it may look like I'm not doing much) but it's how I get the best from you and authenticity in the photos.

The main focus must be your face so wear simple clothing that isn't distracting. A plain black and / or plain white top is great and keep necklines simple. Feel free to bring tops with different necklines so you can try them on to see which one works best. There is a private changing area with mirrors that you can use for changing and touching up hair and make-up. Please arrive fully ready to be photographed. Click here for more ideas on what to wear for your headshot.

Your Professional Headshot in 4 Simple Steps

Fill out the form and I’ll be in touch for a quick chat on the phone to discuss what you're looking to achieve with your photos.

Once you’re happy with the details, I'll find a date that works well with your schedule. To secure the date you'll need to pay for the headshot session in advance. You’ll receive an invoice for the required amount which can be paid by debit / credit card or by BACS transfer.

Turn up and enjoy the shoot. The shoot will either be in the studio (Albert Road, Epsom KT17) or in an agreed location.

You will receive a link to a private, online gallery, soon after the session. Your gallery will feature a selection of your best images – from which you can easily choose and compare favourites.

Within 1 – 2 weeks* of the session, your favourite images will be reetouched in Photoshop to give them a professional finish. All tweaks are natural looking but designed to bring out the best in your images.

*If you need your images sooner, please let me know at the time of booking.

Simple!

Let's Plan your Shoot

I would love to hear from you. Leave your details below and I will get back to you within 2 working days.

FAQs

The studio is located in Epsom, Surrey (close to Epsom College) but for group bookings I can bring the studio to you. I’m happy to travel to most areas in Surrey, London and further afield.

Your face is the most important part of the image so you want to wear clothing that doesn't distract from it. Take a look at my blog for guidance on what to wear and how to prepare for the shoot...

Yes absolutely, I'm very happy to show you the back of the camera during the shoot so you can see how things are going and change things up if you need to. I would recommend approx 15-minutes per look.

Soon after the shoot, I'll go through your images and remove any unsuitable images (e.g. blinking). I'll send you a link to a private online gallery where you'll be able to view the best ones. The images are watermarked. You are welcome to share the gallery link with your agent or others to help you to decide on your favourites.

Once you've chosen your favourites, I will retouch them for a natural, polished finish. Photos will be cropped to 10" x 8" but if you'd prefer an alternative size, please let me know.

Your final photos will be finished 2-3 weeks after the shoot and you'll be able to download them directly from your gallery. If, however, you need them sooner than that, just let me know at the time of booking.

At the moment I don’t have one – with the current Covid situation it’s tricky. However, post Covid, I’m hoping to have a make-up artist available. Please check at time of booking.

Yes absolutely! Please contact me with details of what you’re looking for and I’ll happily provide a quote.

Potentially yes!

The minimum space needed to set up the studio and have room for me to shoot with a long lens is 4m x 4m, with a minimum ceiling height of 2.7m. However a larger room with plenty of room to manoeuvre is preferable.
