With a professional headshot, I keep the process straightforward to make it as easy as possible for you. We have a quick chat on the phone or email to establish your goals for the session and I take care of the rest. I'll give you ideas for the perfect location (for outdoor headshots), what to wear and how to get the most from your session.
I have a relaxed and friendly working style, and the focus really is about making you feel relaxed and getting natural shots of you. I work with you, directing you as needed to find positions that feel natural to you. There is no awkward or forced posing, I simply build on what you feel most comfortable doing. You may prefer to stand, sit or perch on a stool, I just work around you.
A few days after your shoot you'll receive a link to a private, online gallery where you choose your favourite headshots. These are then carefully retouched to a high standard and ready within a week. Need a faster turnaround? Just let me know when you book and I'll do my best to make it happen!

My headshot studio is based in Epsom, Surrey KT17 and the full address will be supplied when you book.
The space is designed specifically for professional portraits — great lighting, flattering angles, and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s easy to reach, with nearby parking and transport links, so you can arrive feeling calm and ready to go.
By Car
The nearest M25 junction is Leatherhead (junction 9). Then it's a 15 - 30 minute drive from there (traffic dependent). It's very easy to find and on-street parking is available just outside.
By Train
The nearest train station is Epsom and it's a 15-20 minute walk from there.
Yes — I offer flexible session times, including evenings and selected weekends. This is perfect if you have a packed schedule or want to avoid taking time out of your workday.
Evenings and weekend sessions are not bookable online, but send me a message and we'll find a mutually convenient time.
You'll receive your gallery approx. 5 working days after the shoot. Once you've selected your favourite images, they will be retouched in approx 5 working days.
If you need them urgently for a deadline, just let me know — I can usually accommodate a fast turnaround.
And if you need them within 24-hours, I offer a speedy turnaround service for £10 per image.
Choose outfits that make you feel confident and reflect how you want to be seen professionally. Solid colours work well, and layers add structure. Avoid busy patterns, and bring a couple of options so we can go through them on the day.

My pricing is simple and transparent. Your session fee covers the shoot, guidance, a relaxed experience and a set number of final images. Full package details are clearly detailed on this page.
Additional, selected images can be purchased with any package.
Retouching means editing an image for small details.
Distractions such as stray hairs and temporary blemishes are removed so that the focus is on your expression. Retouching is subtle, it serves to complement the image, not to change how you look.
You will look like you but on a really good day!
Images are also optimised for brightness, colour and contrast to bring out the best in them.
Heavy retouching e.g. tattoo removal, adding hair, softening deep creases is also available from £10 per image.
The first thing that most people say when they arrive is "I hate having my photo taken" or "I'm dreading this experience" and I can confidently say that by the time they leave, 99.9% of my clients have changed their view on that. Here are a few helpful tips to help you feel confident and relaxed:
Firstly, try to visualise the photo shoot going really well and imagine how good you’ll feel when you can upload your flattering new headshot as your new profile image.
Secondly, take a look at my blog post How to Prepare for your Professional Headshot in 7 Easy Steps which includes ideas for getting prepared beforehand and combating nerves on the day of / during the shoot.
Thirdly, just so you know, my home-studio environment is super-relaxed and so am I. We'll be chatting, music will be on in the background and I'll take lots of shots (up to 100 in 30 minutes) so there will be plenty of images to choose from.
Fourthly, if you think you may need a bit of time to warm up, choose an extended (60-minute) session so you have plenty of time to get used to the camera and don't feel rushed.
And finally, if there’s anything specific about the photo session or the end results that you feel concerned about, do let me know so we can discuss it beforehand and put your mind at rest.
Having a headshot taken when you're not used to it, does feel a bit strange. But we've all got to do it, and if you prepare well, you'll love the end result, trust me :)
