Family Photography

Beautiful, emotive family photography for warm-hearted families across Epsom, Surrey & South West London...

Family life is different for everyone - hectic, crazy, tiring, nurturing. It can make you laugh, smile and cry (sometimes all at once) but one thing’s for sure - it doesn’t stand still.

Sometimes it's hard to press pause and take it all in, and before you know it, the kids have grown up and you’re feeling nostalgic over the littlest things.

When photos are taken of your family, they’re valued of course, but fast-forward a few years and they’ve gained value, in fact, they’re absolutely priceless!

No-one ever regrets investing in family photos.

You’re here, you’ve taken the first step, and the best time to book your family shoot is right now!

But first... you need to know if I'm the right photographer for your family?

Read on to find out...

This page contains details about What to Expect, a Price Guide, Consultation Form & FAQs and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

What to Expect

I have two children of my own (now 11 and 13) so I’m used to kids!

With a family shoot I keep everything as fun and light-hearted as possible. I let the kids lead (or pretend to) and often appease them by photographing things they suggest too – it often helps keep things on track (but don’t worry, they won’t count in your images).

I love kids’ company and happy to get down on their level and make the shoot into a game. The session is relaxed and fun and I focus on getting shots of you all interacting in positive way to create a set beautiful, emotive images that are full of life!

The Process:

  • We have a quick chat on the phone to establish your goals
  • If you decide to go ahead, we book you in. All you need to do is pay the deposit (session fee) to confirm the date. The session fee is important as it covers my time. The photo session is one small part of it, but behind-the-scenes, I spend many hours in post production, retouching your beautiful images to bring out the best in them.
  • I send you a ‘how to prepare’ guide for making the most of your session. There will be tips for what to wear, how to keep the kids happy during the shoot and tips on choosing products.
  • Then there’s the photo shoot - the fun bit!
  • After 2-3 weeks, you’ll get a link to view your images - the exciting bit!
  • Then you purchase a collection. Collections are very flexible and you only purchase this once you've seen your images and are sure they're everything you hoped for.

Sound good?

If you have any questions, fill out the form below and I'll be in touch. There is no obligation to go ahead if you decide not to, it's just an initial call so you can see if I'm a good fit for your family.

The pricing is split into two parts - session fee and collections

Session Fee

Session fee includes:

  • Phone consultation
  • What to expect guide and tips on how to prepare for your session
  • Your photoshoot (1 - 2 hours)
  • My time carefully selecting and retouching the best images from your session
  • A private, online gallery to review your beautiful photos (32 minimum)
  • Support arranging frames and choosing products (should you need it)

The session fee does not include any products or digital files. They can be bought as part of a collection once you have seen the final photos.

Collections are very flexible and include a number of digital files AND credit to spend on products (frames, albums, gift prints etc). Products that add a stylish touch to your home and make gorgeous gifts for family members.

Collections start from £235

If the rain is torrential and we cannot shoot, the session will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient date. Very light rain isn't a problem and I usually go ahead in this case.

In the week leading up to the session, I will keep an eye on the weather forecast. If it looks changeable, we can leave it right until the evening before to decide whether or not to go ahead with the session.

I have photographed children professionally for seven years and have found that children are at their best where they feel comfortable, are able to run free or do an activity that they enjoy.

But there are a few things you can do too - read this blog post for ideas.

It's no problem at all.

And the consultation is free.

It's the time to ask me all the questions you may have. If you decide that I’m not the right fit for your family (I won't be right for everyone) then you haven't lost anything :-)

It takes several hours to select, retouch and bring out the best in every image.

After 2-3 weeks, I'll email you a link to a private, online gallery - the exciting bit!
